Schoolies aged 16 to 18 who are completing year 12 on the year of travel may attend. If you have left school early (eg Year 10) for work or TAFE and you are in this age group then you may also attend. The Schoolies accommodation and activities are accessible to all Schoolies 18+ as well as under 18.
The most common way to get to Terrigal is to drive (90 minutes from Sydney) and there is parking available at the accommodation, however public transport is also available.
There is an Official Sure Thing Schoolies party for each Schoolies week in Terrigal – This is for under 18s and well as those who are 18, all Sure Thing Schoolies can access this. Schoolies can get access into the bars if they are 18. Otherwise, there is a great Schoolies vibe at the Schoolies accommodation that can be enjoyed every evening for all Schoolies regardless of age. Staying at the Schoolies accommodation is a huge advantage for those who are under 18 as it gives you a venue to enjoy and celebrate your Schoolies week.

Yes. We understand that you want Freedom at Schoolies. You have the freedom to explore the beautiful Central Coast, however, the location of the Schoolies accommodation is the centre of the Schoolies action. You can go shopping, do tours and activities as you wish.
Absolutely. This is a must to ensure you that have no problems at check-in. It will also ensure you are at a “Verified” schoolies resort – these hotels must meet guidelines of safety, prime location, good rooms, schoolies-friendly staff, and it also ensures that you don’t miss out on the genuine schoolies experience. Avoca Beach Hotel & Resort is a verified Schoolies resort and the official accommodation for Central Coast Schoolies.

No. There is no way to get access to the Schoolies party or Schoolies activities or the Schoolies resort unless you are booked in and registered as a Schoolie at the Official Schoolies Resort. Sure Thing Schoolies runs the Schoolies party and Schoolies activities specifically for Sure Thing Schoolies. Those booked elsewhere will not be able to take any part in Schoolies celebrations.
The name of the resort is Avoca Beach Hotel and resort. This is the headquarters for Schoolies and is the only Schoolies accommodation in the Central Coast. If you are heading to the Central Coast for schoolies week – this is the place to be.
No, there is no schoolies Curfew. Sure Thing Schoolies runs safe and professional schoolies events and NEVER enforces a curfew or lock-out, and NEVER leashes you to the hotel grounds.
