About 50,000 teens swarm Gold Coast each year for a week long party in this idyllic beachside city. Combining days by the beach and cooling off in the surf and the pulsating nightlife in Cavill Avenue, there is no better place to party with your mates.

Schoolies Events on the Gold Coast:

Free Schoolies events are held each night on the beach at Surfers Paradise and Cavill Avenue. Sure Thing Schoolies wristbands get you access into the hottest Gold Coast nightclubs for anyone over 18. For all ages events, don’t miss out on the annual Sure Thing Schoolies boat party and Paintball Showdown. You get $10 off these tickets but booking your accommodation package with Sure Thing.

Schoolies aged 16 to 18 who are completing year 12 on the year of travel may attend. If you have left school early (eg Year 10) for work or TAFE and you are in this age group then you may also attend. The Schoolies accommodation and activities are accessible to all Schoolies 18+ as well as under 18.

If you choose not to drive then you can book your flights with Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar or Tiger airways. The closest airport to Gold Coast Schoolies is the Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport (OOL).

Transfers between the airport and the accommodation can be organised by Schoolies in advance (through an airport transfer/transport company). Alternatively, a Taxi, Maxi Taxi, public transport or Uber can be used.

There are are also awesome nightclubs for Schoolies who are 18+. These are just some of the popular ones but there are heaps more!

Week one:
The government runs free beach parties for high school graduates at the Gold Coast during week 1.

Week two:
Sure Thing works in partnership with Tribe Schoolies provide Schoolies with access to the best parties on the Gold Coast in week 2. The All Access Pass gives you a 7-night party pass for guests who are 18+. Book it through Sure Thing Schoolies.

Measures are in place to make it as safe as possible for Schoolies. Sure Thing Schoolies has a 100% Safety record in all 14 years that it has been running Schoolies events. The accommodation requires security with a passcode. There is also 24 hour CCTV, regular security patrols and a nightwatchman for your safety and peace of mind. Byron Bay is a safe and friendly destination, especially at this Schoolies accommodation. Part of enjoying Schoolies celebrations is staying safe and healthy.

On 10th of August of the year of travel, group members must register on an online form:

  • Date of Birth
  • High School Name and Suburb
  • Portrait photo

Check-in vouchers are sent by email approximately 28 days before departure.
